What are the laws?
When flying a zeppelin balloon the attached Civil Aviation rules must be adhered to.
The Rules of the Air chapter 3.14 are currently applicable. The rules/conditions are as follows:
- No captive or unmanned free balloon operation shall be conducted
- by night;
- higher than 150 feet above the surface; or
- from or above a public road;
- less than 8 kilometer from the aerodrome reference point of an aerodrome licensed or approved in terms of Part 139 of the civil aviation regulations (1997), unless with the prior written approval of the Commissioner and on the conditions determined by him or her.
- In the event of a captive balloon breaking free from its moorings, the operator thereof shall immediately report the occurrence to the nearest Air Traffic Service Unit indicating the direction in which the balloon is drifting.
What gas do they use?
Only helium must be used to fill your zeppelin balloon. This gas can be purchased directly from your local helium supplier.
Is helium flammable or dangerous?
Helium is not flammable and is completely inert.
What colours are the balloons available in?
Zeppelins are supplied in white but can be sprayed to any colour of your choice at a further cost.
What weather conditions can the balloon fly in?
The balloon can fly in fair weather conditions with wind speeds not exceeding 25km an hour.
How do you install the balloon?
The balloon can easily be installed with 2 people in approximately 15 minutes.

What happens when the balloon is damaged?
All our zeppelin balloons are supplied with a patch kit however if the damages are extensive we offer a full repair service.
From how far can it be seen?
Zeppelin balloons can be seen from kilometres away and are outstanding markers, however we suggest that the artwork/logo be kept simple, big and bold.
Will the artwork come off?
The artwork is permanently applied with specialised printing inks suitable for this fabric and will last the full duration of the balloons lifespan.

-Inflatables are collapsible so they are both easy to transport and store.
-Inflatables are quick and easy to install.
-They are a cost effective advertising media.
-They will last years if correctly used and well maintained.

We will take your concept from origination right through to a completed item through a process of 3D modelling and design.
What keeps them up?
All inflatables are fitted with a blower motor which supplies air continuously and will therefore require a fixed power supply or generator.
What criteria affect price?
-Mainly design complexity; this is because new patterns have to be originated from scratch.
-The amount of artwork.
-The size of the inflatable.
-Discounts will be awarded on quantity.
How do you clean and repair your inflatable?
-Cleaning can be done with soap and water. No chemicals or solvents are required.
-Your inflatable will be supplied with a patch kit for any field repairs, however Zeppelin offers a full repair and cleaning service if necessary.
What size inflatable?
We manufacture inflatables between 2mtr and 10mtr, however we can manufacture smaller or larger inflatables on request.
How long does it take to make an inflatable?
With the latest technology and systems in place this ensures a speedy manufacture time from concept to completion.
